The Carter House -
A National Historic Landmark, this 1830's house was caught in the center of the Civil War Battle of Franklin. Tour includes museum, video presentation, and guided tour of the house and grounds. Call 615-791-1861 to find out more.
Fort Granger - In February 1863, Gen. Rosecrans ordered Maj. Gen. Gordon Granger to fortify Franklin. On Nov. 30, 1864, Confederate Gen. Hood attacked. The fort was abandoned when the Federals withdrew to Nashville but was reoccupied two weeks later as Hood's defeated army withdrew from the state. Call 615-791-3217 for additional information.
Historic Carton Plantation -
