Reelfoot Lake Eagle Watch
Bald eagles on a drowned forest lake, in the northwest corner of the state.
Reelfoot was formed by the New Madrid earthquakes. In January and February bald eagles fish the cypress, and the park and nearby guides run watch weekends. It is a long drive from Memphis — plan it as the point of the trip, not a side stop. Calendar marks weekends in the peak window.

Boat tours are the sure way to see birds. Dress for wind off the water.
