Shiloh Anniversary Living History
Ranger talks and living history on the anniversary of the April 1862 battle.
Shiloh is quiet most of the year — a river bluff, a national cemetery, and a peach orchard. On the battle anniversary the park adds living-history camps and extra ranger talks. It is a serious place. The visitor center film is the right start with children old enough for the story.

The driving tour is the practical way around the field. The bookstore has a junior ranger book.
