Humboldt's strawberry festival is one of the older civic parties in West Tennessee: a parade, a carnival, berry shortcake, and a beauty pageant that locals still argue about. It is a genuine small-town week, not a ticketed destination brand. The Middle Tennessee Strawberry Festival in Portland runs the same month if you are already in the Nashville basin.
